Fierté Littéraire cares about your privacy. That’s why we do not collect any information about visitors to our site, except for comments left on the blog. We do not use any statistical cookies and no cookies for commercial purposes.

Comments

We collect information about people who comment on the blog in order to detect unwanted comments using the Akismet Anti-Spam plugin. The information collected includes the commenter’s IP address, browser type, referrer (HTTP), site URL, as well as information provided directly in the comment such as name, username, email address, and the comment itself.

An anonymized string created from the provided email address (called a hash) is sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here. After your comment is approved, your Gravatar profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

The comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you will be offered the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is solely for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter this information when leaving another comment. By default, this option is not selected. These cookies expire after one year.

If you visit the login page of the site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be automatically deleted when you close your browser.

For participating artists

If you participate in the events, you may be asked, by email or other means, to provide a photo and a short biography of yourself. If you choose to provide this information, it will be displayed on the site and may be used to describe events on social media. In principle, this information is retained indefinitely.

Who at Fierté Littéraire has access to your data

For convenience, all employees of Fierté Littéraire have access to the personal information that has been collected. In addition, certain contractual agents (e.g., a web developer) may have access to your data for the duration of their contract. This greatly simplifies administrative tasks and streamlines the functioning of our organization.

Data transfer and destination

Visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service (Akismet Anti-Spam). In addition, an anonymized string created from the email address provided in the comment (hash) is sent to the Gravatar service.

The biographies and photos of participating artists may be used as content on our social media. This means that your information may be stored on servers belonging to Facebook, Instagram, or other platforms.

How your data is protected

The website’s administration panel, our database, and all our internal documents are protected by secure connections with passwords. The physical facilities we use are also equipped with firewalls.

The rights you have over your data

If we have collected personal information about you, you may request to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including any information you have provided to us (right to data portability). You may also request the rectification or deletion of your personal data (right to be forgotten). Some data may be exempt from these processes for legal or security reasons. You may also request, if the conditions are met, to exercise your right to de-indexation.

To exercise these rights or for any other issues related to this matter, please contact the person responsible for the protection of personal information:
