Le Combat aux mots

This flagship Fierté littéraire event is inspired by Radio-Canada's Battle of the Books. Four queer personalities each champion a queer title and defend it in a friendly debate. Every 20 minutes, one title is eliminated. The personality whose title is eliminated then joins another. And so on, until two titles remain. If the personalities cannot agree on a winner, the final choice is put to a public vote.

The Battle will be followed by the book launch of Bastien sort ce soir by Mathieu Pierre, who won Queer académie in 2025. The publication of this book was the prize of the competition.
